Biographical Sketch: Mike Somerville grew
up in Central Illinois where he played in various rock bands from the time
he was in his early teens in the mid-60's until joining Head East in 1973.
He left Head East in 1980, and in 1981 formed the Somerville - Scorfina

image below). Mike played with numerous other bands during the 80's
and early 90's, re-joining Head East from 1994 until the Spring of 2003. He has written several of Head East's most popular songs to include Love Me Tonight and Never Been Any Reason. Mike has a unique tone and playing style and his expressive guitar playing can be seen in the photos on this page.
