Additional Info - This release is a CD reissue of Head East's 3rd and 4th albums, Gettin' Lucky and Head East (self-titled), with both albums on one CD. The CD was released on 1 April 2005 by Hip-O Select, a Universal Music Enterprises record label that specializes in limited edition reissues of classic albums. The CD is only available through the Hip-O Select website and cannot be bought through music stores or other online music retailers.
The CD is nicely packaged with new cover art (shown at the top of this page) taken from the late 70's photo shoot used to promote the self-titled album, and a booklet containing all the artwork from both albums and the lyrics that were included with the insert from Gettin' Lucky. The model shown on the front cover art and in the picture to the right is Debbie Boatman Boyd (former wife of Head East leader and keyboardist Roger Boyd). Debbie was also featured on the cover of Head East Live and in posters and a picture sleeve used to promote the self-titled album and Head East's highest charting single "Since You Been Gone".
