On Sunday May 29, Head East played for the 40th Annual Young at Heart Festival in Loves Park / Rockford, Illinois. As we made our way north to Rockford from Sandwich, Illinois, we had doubts if there would even be a show. Many of the roads were covered in water and it rained like a hurricane. But by mid-afternoon, skies cleared and the young-at-heart started pouring into the park.
Many long-time fans, friends, and family members came out to this beautiful setting along the Rock River. Several of them indicated that they would see us again in August at the Breanna’s Smiles Foundation concert in Rothschild, Wisconsin. It was another super show, with fun pictures captured by professional photographer, Edward Spinelli. Head East will be using some of the photos shot by Edward to include a new band photo. Ed has photographed everybody in the business and knows his music too. Besides being a great photographer, Ed is a big Head East fan as well. He confessed that he had scored my autograph at a show at the Arlington Park, Illinois racetrack back in the mid 80s when HE appeared in concert alongside Judas Priest.
