( From Roger Boyd )

Head East kicked off the 2011 spring touring season with shows in Des Moines and Minneapolis on April 29-30 and the shows were incredible!

We'd like to thank Steve and all the folks at 7-Flags in Des Moines along with Terry and the crew at radio station KGGO for their hospitality and rockin’ after party on April 29. Des Moines was a night of firsts as HE fans at 7-Flags were treated to a sneek peek of Head East's first ever videos - Prisoner and One Night. Videos will be available for sale at future HE shows and online thru MDI Distribution by mid-June along with our live album One Night. Our webmaster Drew will keep fans posted.

Darren just penned a new song titled "Say Yeah" and we premiered this tune at Des Moines. The crowd roared their approval by singing along as loud as they could. Say Yeah is much like Darren's personality and the HE outlook on life, stay positive, help each other out, and enjoy life because things can change in a blink of an eye. We are currently in the process of laying down the tracks for Say Yeah and plan to include this song on the studio album to be released in the fall. This should be music-to-the-ears for fans already requesting Say Yeah.

The next night at the historic Medina Ballroom in suburban Minneapolis was just as smokin'! Our thanks to Mark and all the staff at the Medina, Roger Anderson from ARM who booked both shows, and the folks at KQRS radio. The show was extra special because Craig, Jill and friends from the Breanna's Smile Foundation were there to party with us and hosted breakfast for the band the next morning. We'll be playing a benefit concert again this year in memory of Breanna on Aug. 12th in the Wausau/Rothschild Wisconsin area. We hope all our fans will come out and support the Breanna Smiles Foundation. Stay glued to the HE website as the summer progresses for all the details and visit the Foundation website at https://www.breannassmile.org/Home.html.

We hope to see you all Memorial Day weekend at either the Sandwich or Love's Park shows in the greater Chicago/Rockford area - Drew has the details posted on our tour dates page - and for those of you who aren't in the area, I'll have my next report early next week. In the meantime SAY YEAH!!!
