Additional Info - This CD is not a Universal Music Group / A&M Records release and was issued without Head East's consent or knowledge. Renaissance Records licensed these recordings and released them as part of their Concert Classics series. The CD contains errors in song titles and songwriting credits. The correct song titles and songwriting credits are shown on this page. The liner notes for this release were paraphrased from information found on the now defunct "If You Knew Head East Better" website without the site owners consent or knowledge. Fans may want to listen to track samples online or in stores before purchasing this CD as some fans have reported the sound quality to be inferior.
This is the only live Head East release to contain songs from A Different Kind Of Crazy, U.S. 1, and Onward And Upward. This CD is still in print and can be purchased through most music stores and online music retailers.
These same recordings were scheduled to be issued with new cover art as an import release under the name Flying By Night in late 2001 or early 2002. However, N.M.C. Music of London England stopped production prior to any copies being made commercially available, citing concerns about licensing and the fact that Concert Classics Volume 7 was still on the market. Some online auction sites and music retail sites occasionally have promotional copies of this CD listed for sale.
In 2007, Concert Classics Vol. 7 was re-marketed under the name Head East Alive in America with different cover art (shown to the left) , different liner notes, and corrections to song titles and song credits that were misprinted on Concert Classics Vol. 7.
The liner notes acknowledge the two separate line-ups and two concerts that make up this CD, but incorrectly indicate which members are playing on some songs. Some online music retail sites incorrectly show cover art from a CD by a band named 707 instead of the Alive in America cover art.
The music tracks for Head East Alive In America are the same exact recordings as on Concert Classics Vol. 7 and fans should be advised that this is not a new CD by either the current or any past line-up of Head East.
