Biographical Sketch: Roger Boyd grew up
in Carlyle, Illinois. He is a founding member of Head East
and has been it's keyboardist and leader for the past four decades. He
started piano lessons at an early age, and went on to play trumpet in the
school band. Roger is known for his "stories" on stage that tell the history
behind many of Head East's classic songs. He is also known for strapping on his mini moog and flying across the stage during the finale of Never Been Any Reason. In 2005, Roger competed his doctorate degree in public policy studies at St. Louis University and is now an associate professor in the Department of Social Work at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. |
