self-titled release is often referred to as 'Arrows' or 'Double Arrow' and
was called the 'Road Sign' album by the band.
Since You Been Gone (written by Russ Ballard
formerly of the band Argent) is Head East's highest charting song on
Billboard's Hot 100 chart. It charted for 8 weeks beginning 15 April,
1978, peaking at # 46.
Since You Been Gone/Pictures was the only Head East 45rpm single on A&M Records to be issued in a picture sleeve (pictured below).
Head East (self-titled) is out of print in LP, cassette, and 8-track formats. However, Hip-O Select a division of Universal Music Enterprises reissued it in CD format on 1 April 2005. The CD is a "twofer" putting Head East (self-titled) together with Gettin' Lucky, with both albums on one CD. This is the first authorized release of Head East (self-titled) in CD format. Used copies in LP, cassette, or 8-track formats can usually be found online through new and used record dealers and auction sites. |
